Delete My Data

BeamOut does not require you to create an account — you play and submit scores using your existing Google Play Games (Android) or Apple Game Center (iOS) identity. We do, however, store game data tied to that identity on our servers. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and this page explains how.

What data we hold

Linked to your platform player identity (e.g. android:… or ios:…), we may store:

  • Your display name and avatar from Google Play Games / Game Center
  • Leaderboard entries (all-time, monthly, and weekly scores)
  • Replay recordings and the rendered replay videos shown publicly at beamout.me/replays
  • Your push notification token, if you opted in to notifications
  • Any moderation or ban records associated with your identity

Deleting from within the game (recommended)

The quickest and most secure way is to delete your data from inside BeamOut, where you are already signed in to Google Play Games / Game Center: open Settings → Delete My Data and confirm. Because the request is authenticated with your signed-in identity, only your own data is removed.

If you've uninstalled the game

You can request deletion through our contact form. Please note that your display name and scores are publicly visible, so a name alone is not proof of ownership. To protect players from having their data deleted by someone else, we verify that the request genuinely comes from the account owner before removing anything — for example, by asking you to confirm the request from your signed-in game session, or to provide information only the account owner would have. Requests we cannot verify will not be actioned.

What gets deleted

On a verified request we permanently remove:

  • Your leaderboard entries across all periods (all-time, monthly, weekly)
  • Your stored replays and any published replay videos (removed from our CDN)
  • Your display name and avatar held on our servers
  • Your registered push notification token

We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days. Some data also expires on its own: monthly leaderboard entries after ~30 days, weekly entries after ~7 days, and replay videos after their retention period (typically 30 days).
